Tulsa Officer Pleads Guilty To Lying To Purchase Gun For Boyfriend

A Tulsa Police officer pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to making a false statement to purchase a gun for her boyfriend.

According to her plea agreement, Latoya Dythe admitted to conspiracy to lie to a firearms dealer.

According to documents, Dythe said she was buying a gun for herself, but she was actually getting it for Devon Jones, her boyfriend at the time.

The U.S. Attorney’s office said that Dythe will face sentencing on July 15.

Jones was charged as a coconspirator with Dythe in December.
