State Criminal Court Of Appeals Overturns Manslaughter Conviction In 12-Year-Old's Death

A Wagoner man could go free after the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals overturned a manslaughter conviction in the death of a 12-year-old boy.

Billy Lord was riding his bicycle when he was struck from behind by a car in Wagoner in 2013.

Lord was a member of Cherokee Nation. The collision happened on tribal land.

The court rejected the state's appeal to dismiss the 19-year prison sentence of Richard Roth.
