The Oklahoma City Police Department confirmed to News 9 they were searching for an escaped inmate.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections said 32-year-old Dejuan McDowell walked away early Monday evening from the Clara Waters Corrections Center.

According to officials, McDowell is serving 8 years for multiple counts of concealing stolen property as well as burglary in the second-degree and possession of a firearm after felony conviction, all out of Tulsa County.
