Oklahoma’s Own Jason Christie Wins Bassmaster Classic

Oklahoma’s own Jason Christie took home the top prize in one of the largest professional fishing competitions in the world.

Christie, from Park Hill, near Tahlequah, won first place in the Bassmaster Classic with a 3-day total of 54 pounds competing on Lake Hartwell in Greenville, South Carolina.

Christie beat out the second-place finisher by only 5 ounces.

This is Christie's first classic win, earning him the $300,000 grand prize.
