The McAlester community is raising money for the family of a police officer who died after a head-on crash.

Police said officer Joseph Barlow was escorting the body of a McAlester police captain when a driver crossed the median and hit Barlow near Glenpool.

The funeral for Officer Barlow is Wednesday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at the McAlester Expo Center.
