The "Okie From Muskogee" is coming back to Green Country, permanently.

The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame announced that a bronze statue of country singer Merle Haggard will be built and placed at the Muskogee Civic Center, where Haggard recorded his first live album.

The hall of fame says that the statue will be a photo-op stop for visitors, as it will be strategically placed with a view of “Old Glory” at the Federal Courthouse.
