A woman riding an electric bicycle was killed Wednesday night after being hit by a vehicle in Payne County, Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

Ashley Taylor, 37, from Stillwater, Oklahoma, was pronounced dead at the scene, OHP said.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. on US-177, just south of Burris Road near Stillwater, OHP said.

Taylor was traveling northbound on US-177 when she was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle that left the scene, OHP said.
