Tige’s primary bragging point is making it all the way to first base coach of his nine-year-old son’s little league baseball team in LaFortune. He maintains that his wife of 12 years, Brittany, still loves him and hasn’t left yet. On the star-studded side of his resume, he includes being alone in the same room as Buzz Aldrin while he ate a cookie. He was additionally invited to be on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” but declined out of loyalty to (or fear of) his then-employer David Letterman.
When Tige isn’t batting against fourth graders in Tulsa and watching old moon men eat, he enjoys his sailboat at Grand Lake. His record of technical sinkings is zero, not including the one close call he had.
